<common:generalComment xml:lang="en">The Components for Re-use (CRU) indicator quantifies the mass of product components that can be directly reused without reprocessing at the end of the product’s life cycle. This reuse contributes to resource conservation and environmental impact reduction by displacing the need for new component production. In accordance with ISO 14044 and the ILCD Handbook 1, CRU is considered within the life cycle inventory phase and is treated as an avoided burden, credited to the product system. The reuse potential must be supported by evidence of technical feasibility, market demand, and appropriate collection systems. Only components that retain their original function and form are included under CRU.</common:generalComment>
